Conjoining Continents

I usually wonder how new information reach from one place to another during the olden days. It must have taken years for new information to arrive at another continent. Aside from that, latest technology would also take almost decades for it to reach another continent. I am really fascinated with how people used to communicate during the primal days. It takes a lot of resourcefulness in order for mankind to come up with methods of communication. The pursuit to survival stirs up man’s intellect.
Communication has always been a part of our lives. We already communicated starting from the day we were born. When we were still tots, it is through our shrill cries that we were able to let our parents know that we are hungry or it’s about time to change our nappies. See how crucial communication is?

During the primitive days people used various means of communication. Ancient villagers used to create smoke in order to send out messages. Just as Harry Potter used Hedwig, the owl, to exchange messages with other wizards, ancient people used pigeons to deliver letters. People need to move from place to place just to make communication possible.

Humans are indeed cunning! Through man’s ingenuity, he was able to come up with convenient ways to communicate with others no matter how far the distance is. In 1837, Samuel Morse came up with his telegraph. This has become very useful to humanity to send out messages especially during emergencies. This had also made possible for the people to communicate to different continents. Through the evolution of technology, many inventions were brought about. Alexander Graham Bell improved Morse’s telegraph and pioneered the telephone. Telephones had also then become very important for every household. It was through this that people started to have a real conversation even at a distance.

Nowadays, communication systems have even become more sophisticated and intricate. People would want to communicate with the rest of the world and that is why satellite radios are born.  This technology converge all seven continents as one. Satellite makes use of a dish-shaped receiver to transmit signals. A very famed example of a satellite radio is Sirius radio.  Sirius radio is powerful satellite radio and can transmit more than 1000 NBA games in a standard season.

Satellite radios works for us in so many ways. We hear our daily news through satellite radios. Everyday we can tune in to our favorite radio station all because of the signal a satellite radio transmits. Television news, talk shows, weather and traffic updates are all made possible because of the existence of a satellite radio. This has enhanced the CB radios job in sending out information to people. Unlike a CB radio, satellite radios have immense coverage. You can now broadcast information to all the nooks of the world through the cutting edge of satellite radios. It would be now easier to keep in touch with the world because of the incredible satellite radio. Truly, satellite radios have connected the continents into one big super continent through bridging communication gaps.
